โš ๏ธ Participation requirements apply ยท Please check eligibility before registering
The Path of Liberation is an experiential path of meditation practice, designed for those who wish to practice the Dharma under the guidance of the Venerable Mingyur Rinpoche.

The course covers the most important practices of Tibetan Buddhism and builds upon the foundational teachings of the Joy of Living. It presents a series of meditation methods from the Mahamudra and Dzogchen traditions โ€“ methods designed to release the causes of suffering and reveal the luminous awareness underlying all experience.

In the Path of Liberation, all teachings are presented in a gradual, systematic way. The course is divided into five levels, each exploring the union of awareness, compassion, and wisdom โ€“ what we call "the nature of mind."

White Tara โ€“ Compassionate Tear of Avalokiteshvara, Union of Pristine Wisdom, Saviouress from the Eight Fears

White Tara is a compassionate manifestation of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig). According to the origin story of Tara, Avalokiteshvara, overwhelmed by great compassion upon witnessing the endless suffering of beings trapped in samsara, shed tears. From her left tear emerged White Tara, and from her right tear, Green Tara.

White Tara has a lustrous white complexion and a peaceful, graceful countenance. She is distinguished by seven eyes: one on her forehead, one on each palm, and one on the sole of each foot. Thus, she is also reverently known as the "Noble Seven-Eyed Tara."

Renowned for granting worldly longevity and merit, White Tara also possesses the powerful ability to protect from the eight fears. She is seen as the embodiment of purity, wisdom, and unconditional compassion. Her essence is the innate enlightened nature present in all beings. Through receiving this empowerment and engaging in the practice, one connects with these inherent qualities, ultimately actualizing the enlightened state.

๐Ÿ”ฑ Akshobhya Buddha Puja and Empowerment
"Until the attainment of enlightenment, I shall not give rise to a mind of hatred toward any sentient being." โ€” Akshobhya Buddha
๐ŸŒŸ Why Practice Akshobhya Buddha?
In this degenerate age, sentient beings are burdened with intense afflictions and karmic obstacles, the root of which often lies in the inner poison of "hatred"โ€”that burning sense of opposition and resentment. Not only does this harm oneself and others, but it also traps us in a cycle of suffering.

The practice of Akshobhya Buddha (the Imperturbable One) directly remedies this suffering. In his causal stage as a monk, Akshobhya Buddha made a profound vow: never to give rise to hatred, never to generate craving or desire toward any sentient being, and never to retreat from this path. Should he break this vow, he would rather fall into hell. Through this absolute resolve, he attained Buddhahood as Akshobhya and holds great compassion for beings suffering intensely in the three lower realms. He vowed that merely hearing his name would free them from suffering and allow them to be reborn in his pure land of Abhirati.

Practicing Akshobhya Buddha not only purifies the poison of hatred and cleanses karmic obscuration but also teaches us to replace opposition with awareness, to melt hostility with compassion, to emerge from inner warfare, and to attain genuine peace and strength.
โœจ Benefits and Merits
  • Purifies karmic obscuration: Cleanses negative karma created by hatred since beginningless time.
  • Counteracts habitual patterns: Radically counteracts the emotion of hatred and transforms inner afflictions.
  • Removes obstacles and accumulates merit: Resolves various adversities and hindrances in modern life and accumulates merit.
  • Supports the deceased: Benefits departed ancestors and all sentient beings, helping them find liberation from suffering and attain happiness.

โ˜ธ๏ธ Are You Prepared for Dying?
Fireside Chat with Mingyur Rinpoche X Free Legal Talk by ForeverGift.hk
Dying is a topic that many people prefer to avoid. However, for those of us on the Buddhist path, dying is one of the most important milestones in our journey towards liberation.

Rinpoche has taught us that we need ABCD plans for rebirth in the Pure Land. As his students, we are committed to practicing diligently. In the process of preparing for dying, there are still many worldly matters we need to properly arrange, so that our minds can be clear and at peace, enabling us to be reborn in the Pure Land.

โ“ What do we need to do to prevent family disputes after our passing that could disturb the peace of mind at the time of dying?

โ“ What legal and medical preparations are needed for us to pass away in a calm and blessed environment as a Buddhist practitioner?

โ“ If we do not wish to be placed on life support at the end of life, how can we make these arrangements in advance?

โ“ How can we continue to accumulate merits even after death, leave a legacy of love, and support Rinpoche's Dharma activities through Tergar's mandalas?

This June, during his intensive Hong Kong Teaching Tour, the Venerable Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche has kindly made time to gather with us for a "Fireside Chat" on dying. By answering questions submitted in advance by the audience, Rinpoche will share how we can prepare for dying.

Lawyer Ms. Ryanne Lai, Co-founder of a Hong Kong social enterprise Forevergift.hk, will explain the legal knowledge of making a Will, Enduring Power of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directives in Hong Kong in clear and accessible terms. These are ways we can legally prepare for our own dying.

Additionally, Tergar Asia will introduce its newly established "Tergar Asia End-of-life Care & Legacy Giving Program". This program aims to support dharma friends in completing this crucial lesson of life and death, transforming one's compassionate aspirations into a lasting force that supports the Dharma activities beyond this lifetime.
